We heal best in the context of community.
The process of listening and sharing in a group setting is VERY valuable! This is where we really synthesize and commit these changes neurologically. We see that healing is possible by learning from one another, and hearing perspectives that validate where we are, and show us other, positive viewpoints that we can assimilate. Join the group from wherever you are, in your home, car or park via computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
Group activity around recovery for spouses can provide:
* Getting out of isolation
* Non-judgmental listening and sharing
* Exchange of ideas and resources for problem solving and coping strategies
* Insights into different stages of recovery from members at different stages
* Examples of good recovery, healing and growth
* Accountability
* Encouragement

Video Meetings:
Book Study Format: Each week we’ll all get an assignment to read pages and do the exercises. First we do a check in of where we are that week in feelings and thoughts. We can share our questions, comments, experiences and feelings in a private, secret Facebook group that is limited to members only. No one outside the 6 people who are in the current group will have access to the group, or be able to see it, or your membership in the group.
We'll meet confidentially via Zoom video chat to discuss homework, our response to the materials, and a check in for sharing where we currently are, struggles and victories.
Boundaries Open Group Format:
Each week we'll do a check in of where we are that week in feelings and thoughts, and get support and encouragement, and feedback from the group. After, we coach on specific topics or solutions to common problems that we're dealing with that week.
All participants will be expected to agree to confidentiality and safety, and a commitment to do the work, and be held accountable by other members of the group.

Boundaries are one of the core skills we need to employ in betrayal trauma recovery, or any recovery from infidelity, gaslighting, emotional neglect or toxic communication. As I worked with recovering spouses, I found that most of them weren’t employing boundaries. And in fact, most of us had a great deal of anxiety at the thought.
But here’s the truth: Boundaries give us power, and allow the “Safety and Stability” we need in in the beginning and throughout the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model. We also need that sense of safety and autonomy in order to take advantage of our healing efforts. If we don’t feel safe, we tend not to retain, or see the fruits of our recovery efforts.
Boundaries aren’t an innate ability that you’re either born with or not. It’s not something only “courageous” people do. It’s a skill that can be learned, rehearsed and implemented with ease.
