Blocks to Boundaries: Pushback to Boundaries Plan

People who have poor boundaries will push back with denial, gaslighting, blaming, justification, and playing the helpless victim. This is often because the consequences are new, and they don't like the feelings that come with someone calling out their actions as unwanted or harmful. It’s a defense mechanism, because they don’t have the skills (which can be learned) or capacity (which can be expanded) for the emotions they experience when they’re called out on their actions.
